About the Robotics Club
Should robots someday take over the world, it will be former SET students who are pulling the strings. SET’s robotics club is quickly becoming one of the school’s most popular extracurricular activities. The SET robotics club team competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge, created by US FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) to encourage student participation in science and engineering. Through their participation in FTC, students have the opportunity to apply real-world math and science concepts in a hands-on, project-based format while developing problem-solving, organizational, and team-building skills.
Robotics is available to SET students as both a for-credit class and as an after-school club. Both the robotics class and the after-school club are open to all students, regardless of grade level or prior experience.
